Amahla is now supported by The MOBO Awards and Help Musicians #MOBOHelpMusiciansFund

Amahla has been named a winner of the second ever #MOBOHelpMusiciansFund.

A panel of industry experts, including jazz artist and MOBO Award winner Moses Boyd, music manager and MOBO Trustee, Kwame Kwaten and Amy Frenchum of Brownswood and Future Bubblers, whittled down the final 20 recipients from just under 200 applications.

I’m so honoured to receive funding and support from MOBO Awards  and Help Musicians UK this year, especially because I get to develop my craft alongside my Roundhouse sisters TrueMendous and Shunaji

As part of the fund I receive a grant of £2000 that I will be spending on jazz guitar  lessons, live development and hopefully some vinyl in the near future!

I have so many exciting things to share with you over the next few months so please keep watching out for me

This MOBO/Help Musicians grant marks the second organisational grant awarded to Amahla this year after winning the PRS Lynsey De Paul Prize in September 2018.
